The firm’s re-launch as Baughman Kroup Bosse sees Partners George Kroup and Andrew Bosse join Jack Baughman on the letterhead. Although the firm has a new name, what won’t change is its level of service. Baughman Kroup Bosse will continue to be Trial-Tested and Client-Driven into 2024 and beyond.

  • BKB Obtains Important Ruling For Client

    Last week, BKB obtained an important ruling in the Southern District of New York on the modification of arbitration agreements and the enforceability of class action waivers. BKB represents Gemini, which amended the arbitration clause of its user agreement in December 2022. In a comprehensive opinion, the Hon. Naomi Reece Buchwald reviewed the circumstances surrounding the amendment and specific terms of the arbitration clause. The court found that the amendment was valid, was properly presented to online users and the class action waiver provision was enforceable. This ruling is an important precedent for companies that need to ensure that arbitration clauses in online user agreements are upheld. The case was handled by BKB partners Partners Jack Baughman and Maryia Jones. The court’s decision was reported on by reported in Law 360 (subscription required).
